Your Life Holds the Clues

Pay attention to what’s already there

There’s a moment that happens when you start thinking about building something for yourself—something beyond the life you’ve known.

You begin asking questions.

What would I do?

What would I talk about?

What would I even build?

And somewhere in that process, it can start to feel like you’re supposed to come up with something entirely new. Something perfectly defined. Something that makes sense right away.

But the more I’ve stepped into this space, the more I’ve realized something much simpler.

You’re not starting from nothing.

Recently, I found myself back around family in a way I hadn’t been in a while. It wasn’t something I had planned, and if I’m being honest, it felt a little uncomfortable at first.

But in the middle of it, something unexpected happened.

I found myself listening to a conversation about a challenge someone we both love dearly had been going through.

And then, almost quietly, something else came up—something they had created, something they cared about, something they had already shared with others.

And as I listened, I could feel it immediately.

Not just empathy—but clarity.

I could see it.

Where it could go.

How it could expand.

What it could become with just a little direction.

And it wasn’t about having all the answers.

It was about recognizing something I’ve always done—

seeing the potential in what someone is already creating.

I had to hold back tears—the kind that rise quietly, catching in your throat before you can fully understand why.

And as I left that day, something shifted.

A quiet clarity settled in.

Knowing what I’m learning… what I’m building…

can extend beyond me.

That it’s not just about creating something for myself.

It’s about being able to see what’s already there—in others, in everyday moments, in the things that might otherwise be overlooked—and helping bring that to life in a bigger way.

And that’s when it became clear to me.

This isn’t something you go out and find.

It’s something you begin to notice.

Recently, I’ve had conversations with different women—each in completely different seasons of life, each with their own ideas of what they want to build.

One felt deeply connected to working with her hands and creating something from the ground up.

Another wanted to share her story in a way that could reach and support others.

Another was simplifying her life and stepping into something more aligned with how she wanted her days to feel.

None of their paths looked the same.

But what stood out to me was this—

None of them were starting from nothing.

Their lives already held the clues.

Not in loud, obvious ways.

But in the small things.

The things they kept coming back to.

The things that gave them energy.

The things they spoke about without effort.

The things that stayed with them, even when life pulled them in other directions.

Because it’s not about having everything figured out.

It’s about paying attention.

Following what keeps showing up.

Noticing what feels different.

Trusting what draws you in.

The small pulls.

The repeated interests.

The quiet excitement that doesn’t need to be explained.

The little breadcrumbs.

The clues.

You don’t need to force your direction.

You don’t need to become someone else.

You don’t need to have a perfectly defined plan before you begin.

You just need to start noticing what’s already there.

Because more often than not, the life you’ve already lived…

is quietly showing you where to go next.
